You too can attain academic excellence if you will follow these ten tips. They are guaranteed and have been proven to work over and over again.

TIP 1: KNOW YOUR PURPOSE
Now you are school, the first thing on your journey to academic excellence is to know why you are here and to always remember it. Don't be mistaken, many people come to school for various reasons; because you are reading this am assuming you are school to learn and come out with good grades. If I am correct, no matter what you do on campus, you have to always remember that. So the first tip is to know your purpose and remember it.

TIP 2: KNOW YOURSELF
This is the second problem, most people don't know themselves, so they join the crowd and miss out. You are not like anybody else, just like your finger print is unique, so is your style of learning. For some people one hour of study time daily may be enough, we call them the fast learners. For some others, they need atleast 3 hours. Some people gain more from listening to oral lectures, for some others they have to spend extensive time of private study, some others have to read a material multiple times before it sticks; don't make the mistake of comparing yourself with others. Know yourself and choose a study style that is best suited for you.

TIP 3- KNOW YOUR FRIENDS
friends are very important in life, they are surely very important on campus, don't be in a hurry to make friends, carefully choose your friends as they will determine what GPA you will graduate on. Choose friends who have the same purpose as yours, those who will inspire you to do your best and help you achieve your purpose, not those who will derail you from your path.

Tip 4: CREATE REGULAR STUDY TIME
This is the key difference between the A student and the D student. A student create daily regular study time, while D student wait till about two weeks to exam to cramp the whole material on their head. This is an ineffective way to study, you must create regular daily study time and a personal reading timetable from day 1 you step on campus, it need not be longer than 2hrs but it must be regular; if you miss a day, double the time on the next day.

TIP 5- READ WIDE
Do not restrict yourself to required materials only, read additional materials, broaden your horizon, don't forget your only purpose is not to pass examinations but to learn and become a more excellent person. That little extra effort will stand you out in your academic pursuit.

TIP 6- BE PUNCTUAL TO LECTURES AND HAVE GOOD NOTES
It is important to attend every lecture, attending the lectures help you to focus your reading. Lectures gives you an idea of what the lecturer expects from you in the examination. Sometimes lectures may emphasize on certain points, or give valuable tips and guidelines for exams. Be sure to make good notes from this classes, making notes helps you concentrate in class and is a good refresher of what you did in class.

TIP 7- KNOW YOUR LECTURER
You need to know what your lecturer expects from you in examinations. Each lecturer usuay has his own style, and how he expect his questions to be answered. Find out what style your lecturer prefers and adopt it in examination.

TIP 8- THE CA COUNTS
Some student make the mistake of relying squarely on final exams, this is a great mistake. CA always count and most times it is the deciding factor whether you get an A or C. So take your CA seriously.

TIP 9- BE PUNCTUAL TO EXAMS
You should attend your exams with a relaxed mind, you need to get to the center at least 15mins before exam start, sit down and relax. Rushing into examination halls is bad for your memory. Also a sound night sleep and a nice breakfast has been shown to help memory. So the night before your exam is probably not a good time to stay awake and the day of your exam is not the right day to skip breakfast.

TIP 10- PRAY AND DON'T FORGET TO PLAY
In the end it all balls down to prayer. Read like you don't pray, and pray like you don't read.

Play too, catch the fun. Party if you like, go for social gatherings. Let the school pass through you. So long as you don't forget your purpose and stay safe.

If you follow these simple to the letter, you are sure to make good grades.
Have a nice stay on campus
